Douglas N. Silverstein has joined Littler Mendelson in Los Angeles to supplement the firm’s large employment and labor practice.

Silverstein, formerly of Ballard, Rosenberg, Golper & Savitt, said he has “spent my entire career exclusively representing employers in labor and employment law matters.” He continues to represent clients in the restaurant, travel, retail, manufacturing and high tech industries since starting at Littler on June 28.

Silverstein earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, Florida, and his law degree from Whittier Law School. He also holds a masters in business administration from Nova University, in Florida.

Littler was established in 1942 in the Bay Area. Its Los Angeles office, which opened in 1980, is the second-largest of its 31 offices. With over 375 lawyers, Littler is the largest employment and labor law firm in the country, according to the firm’s site.
