CYLA Names Anthony Diaz, Deputy Los Angeles City Attorney,  to State Bar Board of Governors

Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney Anthony Paul Diaz has been elected to the State Bar Board of Governors as the California Young Lawyers Association representative, the State Bar said yesterday.

Diaz, currently president of the CYLA, was chosen by that organization’s Board of Directors, the State Bar said in a release. His term begins at the conclusion of this year’s State Bar convention in September.

The CYLA board also elected officers for the 2003-2004 term. Craig Nicholas of San Diego will be president; Maralee MacDonald of Sacramento, first vice president; John Calkins of San Francisco, second vice president; and Jennifer Roth of Los Angeles, third vice president.

The State Bar also announced the results of CLYA board member elections. New members are Daniel H. Alexander of Chico (District 1), Krishna Juvvadi of Palo Alto (District 3), Thomas H. Vidal of Los Angeles (District 7), Kenneth M. Wentz III of Stockton (District 5) and Matthew B. Butler of San Diego (District 9).
