Cotkin, Collins & Ginsburg to Move to Larger Office in Downtown Los Angeles

By a MetNews Staff Writer

The Los Angeles law firm of Cotkin, Collins & Ginsburg will move to a larger Los Angeles office at the beginning of next month.

The firm currently has its office on Flower Street in downtown Los Angeles. The new location will be the 24th floor, which is nearly 24,000 square feet, in the California Plaza building on Bunker Hill.

Cotkin Managing Shareholder Robert G. Wilson said that he was particularly happy that the move puts Cotkin within walking distance of the courts “because we’re trial lawyers.”

Meserve, Mumper & Hughes—one of California’s oldest firms, established in Los Angeles in 1889—will sublease 45 percent of the office space, Wilson said. Meserve currently shares office space with Cotkin and has 16 attorneys and offices in Irvine and San Diego, a spokesperson for Cotkin said.

Cotkin has 14 attorneys in its Los Angeles office and also has a location in Santa Ana, which has 11 attorneys and also recently expanded its office space.

Cotkin’s practice areas include bankruptcy, economic and corporate litigation as well as family law and malpractice defense. The firm also has an in-house appellate practice that has been involved in cases in California and federal courts.
