A celebration of the life of veteran attorney Harry Arthur Oliver Jr., who died in a car crash in Georgia, will be held on July 18, it was announced yesterday.

Also to be eulogized will be his stepson, David Jackson, who also died in the May 15 accident. Oliver’s wife, Leigh Oliver, survived the collision but was seriously injured.

The attorney was a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. He joined that firm in 2000.

His 1989 law degree is from Harvard.

Before going into private practice, Oliver spent a year as law clerk to Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Arthur L. Alarcon, now deceased.

A service will be held on July 18 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 1501 Fremont Ave., in South Pasadena. A reception will follow.
