Candidate Provides No Explanation for Gaffe

Above is a screenshot of a claim that previously appeared on the Instagram page of Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender Rhonda Haymon that she has the endorsement of Kathryn Barger for election to a judgeship—with no explanation from the candidate yesterday as to how the false representation came to be posted. It was removed after the office of Barger, a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, protested that no such endorsement was made. Haymon is one of three candidates in the June 2 primary for Los Angeles Superior Court Office No. 64.
