Nominations of Cody, Daum Approved by Commission

The Commission on Judicial Nominations on Friday gave a green light to the elevation of Teri Cody from the post of associate justice of the Court of Appeal for this district to presiding justice, and confirmed Nicholas Daum’s step up from the Los Angeles Superior Court to this district’s appeals court.
Cody will preside over Div. Six, serving Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. She has been a member of that panel since 2023.
Daum will serve in Div. Four. He was a Superior Court judge since 2022.
The commission was comprised of Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero, Attorney General Rob Bonta, and this district’s administrative presiding justice, Elwood Lui.
Also confirmed were Sonny S. Sandhu as an associate justice in the Fifth District and Charles Adams in the Sixth District.
