By a MetNews Staff Writer

Two Los Angeles Superior Court judges—Rashida Adams and Audra Mori—were confirmed yesterday as justices of this district’s Court of Appeal.

Also confirmed by the Commission on Judicial appointments as a justice in this district was Ventura Superior Court Judge Tari Cody.

Adams replaces Halim Dhanidina on Div. Three, Mori succeeds Thomas Willhite on Div. Four, and Cody assumes the seat that was held by Steven Z. Perren on the Ventura-based Div. Six. Each of the vacancies was created by a retirement.

Adams’s law degree is from Yale; Mori earned hers at Cornell; and Cody graduated from the law school at Loyola.

Comprising the commission were Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero, Attorney General Rob Bonta, and the Court of Appeal presiding justice in this district with greatest number of years of service, Arthur Gilbert of Div. Six.

The commission on April 7 confirmed Court of Appeal Justice Tracie L. Brown as presiding justice of the First District’s Div. Four and San Diego Superior Court Judges Julia Kelety and Jose S. Castillo as justices of the Fourth District’s Div. One.
