Marshak, 50, has been a commissioner since 2018.

He was a senior member at the Moss Law Group from 2005-18 and a partner at the Van Dorn & Marshak Law Offices from 2003-05.

His law degree is from Southwestern. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ann I. Jones.

Eurie, 51, has been a judge since 2007, and served as presiding judge of the Juvenile Court from 2010-18. She served in the Office of the Attorney General from 2000-07.

She earned her law degree at the University of California, Davis School of Law.

Confirmation is required by the Commission on Judicial Appointments, which will consists of Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, Attorney General Rob Bonta, and the district’s acting presiding justice, Ronald Robie.

Newsom also appointed six Superior Court judges in other counties. All of Friday’s appointees are Democrats.
