Ann I. Park Becomes LACBA’s 2021-22 President-Elect

Members of the Los Angeles County Bar Association have chosen Ann I. Park, a partner in in the Los Angeles office of Foley & Mansfield, as 2021-22 president-elect, it was announced yesterday.

She will take office on July 1 and will automatically succeed to the presidency one year later.

Park defeated Metropolitan News Company President/General Counsel Jo-Ann W. Grace in month-long electronic balloting by a vote of 973-585.

Currently LACBA’s senior vice president, Park was admitted to practice on Dec. 14, 1987. She served as president of the Korean Bar Association in 1996-97.

A virtual installation will take place June 24. Brad Pauley of Horvitz & Levy will take the oath of office as president and the other LACBA officers and trustees will also be sworn in. They are, in addition to Pauley and Park: Kristin Adrian, senior vice president; Sarvenaz Bahar, vice president; and Christine C. Goodman, vice president of diversity, inclusion & outreach; along with trustees E. Carlos Dominguez, Mark T. Hiraide, Jeffrey B. Margulies, Eric A. Altoon, Jana G. Garrotto, Benjamin G. Shatz, Jason R. Parnell, Caroline C. Vincent, and Saundra K. Wootton.

Officers and trustees of the Barristers Section will also be sworn in.

U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., will be keynote speaker. Court of Appeal Presiding Justice Lee Smalley Edmon of this district’s Div. Three will receive the Shattuck-Price “Outstanding Lawyer Award” and U.S. District Court Judge Virginia A. Phillips will be presented with the “Outstanding Jurist Award.”
