Los Angeles Superior Court Appoints Commissioners

Ballots cast by members of the Los Angeles Superior Court for appointments to commissionerships have been counted on Friday with Ashley Price, Gregory Scott Lesser, Lynette Gridiron Winston and Gabriela Shapiro emerging as the victors.

Counting the ballots on Friday were the most senior members of the court willing to perform the task: Judges John P. Doyle, Steven J. Kleifield, and Michael L. Stern.

Price is a Los Angeles deputy public defender. Admitted to practice in 2005, her law degree is from Loyola.

Lesser is a deputy public defender who was admitted in 1994. He is an alumnus of Southwestern School of Law.

Winston, admitted to practice in 1990, is with the downtown Los Angeles firm of Tung & Associates. Her law degree was earned at USC.

Shapiro, a lawyer since 1997, graduated from Southwestern School of Law. She is attorney supervisor at Children’s Law Center.
