Bruguera, D’Asero, Byrum Elected Superior Court Commissioners

S. Paul Bruguera, Marcelo D’Asero and Maria Hamar Byrum (previously Maria Rivas Hamar) have been elected to commisionerships by the judges of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Ballots were counted Monday by Judges John P. Doyle, Steven Kleifield, and Michael L. Stern, the most senior judges available for the task.
Bruguera is a former deputy attorney general. A graduate of the Loyola Law School, he is married to former Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Suzanne Bruguera.
D’Asero is a superving research attorney for the Superior Court. His law degree is from USC.
Byrum is a Beverly Hills family law attorney whose law degree is from the University of Miami.
