Non-Lawyer LaBran Reappointed To State Bar Board of Trustees

Renee LaBran, a Pasadena investment firm executive, has been reappointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to the State Bar Board of Trustees, as a public member.
She was initially appointed in 2015.
The position requires Senate confirmation.
LaBran was a partner at Rustic Canyon Partners from 2000-11 and has been a partner at Rustic Canyon-Fontis Partners since 2006. She held various posts at the Los Angeles Times from 1993-99, including serving as vice president.
She has an master’s degree in business administration from Harvard and an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
