Kewalramani Takes Office As U.S. Magistrate Judge

Hemant H. “Shashi” Kewalramani was sworn in yesterday as a magistrate judge, the United States District Court for the Central District of California announced.
He will sit in Riverside.
Kewalramani succeeds former Magistrate Judge David T. Bristow.
A graduate of the Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, he has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2009. He served after graduation as a law clerk to the then-Chief U.S. District Judge Richard A. Schell of the Eastern District of Texas.
Kewalramani has served as a deputy U.S. attorney general and as a partner in the law firm that was known as Lee, Jorgensen, Pyle & Kewalramani, P.C. He was a sole practitioner in Tustin at the time of his appointment by the district court judges.
