State Bar Slates Hearings on Discipline and Other Issues

The State Bar of California has scheduled two statutorily required public hearings at which lawyers and the public may speak regarding the attorney discipline process, the admissions process and other issues concerning attorney competence, the State Bar said in a press release yesterday.
The hearings are scheduled for Los Angeles on Dec. 11, at the State Bar’s offices on the 7th floor of 1149 S. Hill St., and for San Francisco on Dec. 13 at the Howard Street office, at 10 a.m. each day.
Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing and/or present written materials should contact Lauren McCurdy at 415-538-2107, or at lauren.mccurdy@calbar.ca.gov, by Dec. 4, the release said.
