Dykema Gossett LLP yesterday announced the addition of Hoon Noh to its Los Angeles office as the assistant leader of its Korean Business Team.

Noh was a founding member and senior foreign legal counsel at DW Partners in Korea, where he headed the international practice for the past 14 years. He joins Dykema as senior counsel in the firm’s Corporate Finance practice group.

Michael P. Wippler, office managing member of Dykema’s Los Angeles office, remarked that Noh “will be an important asset in serving our existing clients and will help us expand our reach to a wide variety of international clients.”

Noh, who is fluent in both Korean and English, focuses his practice on domestic and international business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, distributorships, foreign investments, franchises, joint ventures, licensing, partnerships and technology transfers, according to a firm release.

He is licensed to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.

The attorney is a member of the International Association of Korean Lawyers, an arbitrator for the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, and a former governor and membership committee chair for the Seoul Club in Korea.

Noh is a graduate of UC Berkeley and the American University Washington College of Law.
