Services Set for Mary Cooley, Mother of District Attorney

Funeral services for the mother of Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley are set to take place this Saturday in Nevada.
Mary Jeanne Cooley passed away on Sunday, less than a month shy of her 90th birthday.
A Los Angeles native, she was born to Francis E. Jackson and Mildred E. Regan, the eldest of five children.
Cooley attended Catholic Girls High School, and after graduation, she worked at St. John’s Military Academy to pay the tuition for her three younger brothers.
She went on to become a real estate broker and licensed realtor—serving Silver Lake, Atwater and Huntington Beach—and married Francis Dunning Cooley, an FBI agent, who predeceased her in 1996.
They are survived by their five children, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Henderson, Nev.
