Services Today for Retired Magistrate John Kronenberg

Services will be held today for U.S. Magistrate Judge John R. “Jack” Kronenberg, who passed away last Friday at the age of 87.
Kronenberg was appointed as a magistrate judge for the Central District of California in 1973 and retired in 1992, but was recalled for nine months in 1994 and 1995. He had previously worked as a deputy public defender in Los Angeles County and was a graduate of Loyola Law School.
He was survived by wife Marilyn Kronenberg; sister Maryann Oeffling, brother George Kronenberg, sons John and Karl Kronenberg, daughter Katy Penna, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery’s Risen Christ Chapel in Culver City.
