Dykema Gossett PLLC yesterday announced the addition of transactional attorney Harvey H. Rosen as of counsel to the firm’s Corporate Finance Practice Group in Los Angeles.

J. Michael Bernard, head of Dykema’s Corporate Finance practice, remarked that due to “this current troubled environment, the firm’s clients are constantly facing the challenges of finding solutions to their needs for growth and expansion, with respect to both financing and enhanced regulatory compliance,” and Rosen “brings a unique depth of experience to the practice that will allow the Corporate Finance group to continue to serve our clients’ expanding needs, especially those with operations on the West Coast.”

Rosen’s practice focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and securities work for numerous publicly held entities, according to a release from the firm.

He was a founder, and for 15 years served as the managing principal, of Rosen, Wachtell & Gilbert, which specialized in corporate, banking and finance matters.

The attorney currently serves as special pro bono counsel to the Assistance League of Southern California, and as a mentor to students at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, where he has also served as an instructor.

Rosen attended the City University of New York before earning his law degree from George Washington University. He joined the State Bar in 1970 and is also licensed to practice in Washington D.C.
