Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP yesterday announced the election Los Angeles attorney Emily Murray to firm partnership, effective July 1.

Brian Leck, managing partner of the firm, said he was “delighted” to welcome Murray and San Diego attorney Matthew Marino to the partnership, remarking that they “exemplify personally and professionally—the qualities Allen Matkins nurtures and promotes.”

“In the wake of the economic recovery in California and nationwide, “ Leck predicted the new partners “ will play an important role, along with our many other exceptional attorneys, in meeting our clients’ complex business and legal needs.”

Murray’s practice focuses on environmental litigation, land use, and energy law, according to a release from the firm. She is also a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and the Los Angeles office Recruiting Committee.

The attorney is also part of the American Bar Association’s Environmental and Energy Group, the Association of Women in Water, Energy & Environment, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce’s Energy and Environment Committee.

She earned a degree in Biology and Society from Cornell University in 1998 with a concentration in Environment, Law, and Society before graduating cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002. Murray joined the State Bar that same year, and in 2003 was also licensed to practice in Illinois.
