Dykema’s Los Angeles Office Gains New Associate

Dykema has announced the addition of Joy L. Ganes to its Los Angeles office as an associate
The attorney made the move to Dykema’s Business and Commercial practice Wednesday from her former position as a legal consultant to Majek Pictures LLC in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Majek Pictures, Ganes was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, LLP in New York where she represented multinational businesses in antitrust litigation matters with respect to the Department of Justice, according to the Dykema release. She also was active in pro bono matters that included negotiating screenplay options extensions for small budget films.
Ganes holds undergraduate degrees in business administration and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a master’s degree in political science and law degree from Duke University.
She was licensed to practice in New York in 2006 and in California last July.
