The law firms of Petillon Hiraide & Loomis LLP and Zagzebski Brothers LLP have combined their practices to form Petillon Hiraide Loomis Zagzebski & Zagzebski LLP, effective yesterday.

Senior partner Lee Petillon said he was excited by the merger with Walter and Sander Zagzebski, opining that the new firm would be “well positioned to service the most sophisticated transactions, litigation, and regulatory needs.”

Walter Zagzebski commented that the “opportunity to join forces with Petillon Hiraide & Loomis was just too good to pass up,” praising Petillon as “one of the deans of the securities bar in Southern California.

With offices in downtown Los Angeles and Torrance, the new firm will focus on advising businesses and entrepreneurs in corporate, securities, litigation and regulatory areas, a spokesperson for the firm said.

The new firm will also continue its predecessors’ practices in corporate finance on behalf of early stage and middle market companies, public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitons, securities and general litigation, SEC and FINRA enforcement proceedings, and related matters, the spokesperson added.
