Seyfarth Shaw Gains New Trusts & Estates Attorney

Seyfarth Shaw LLP yesterday announced the addition of John T. Rogers Jr. as of counsel to the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Rogers, a former partner with Luce Forward, focuses his practice on trust, estate, and conservatorship administration and litigation, according to a release from his new firm. He also helps clients with estate planning, alternative dispute resolution and professional responsibility in trust and estate administration and is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization for estate planning, trust and probate law.

Kenwood C. Youmans, managing partner of Seyfarth’s Los Angeles office, praised Rogers as “a top-notch” trusts and estates attorney, while H. Debra Levin, chair of Seyfarth’s Trusts & Estates practice group commented that Rogers has “a high regard for service and a deep understanding of the law.”

Rogers is former chair of the Los Angeles Bar Association Trusts & Estates Section and past president of the Los Angeles Estate Planning Council. He graduated from Stanford University and UCLA Law School before being admitted to practice in 1981.
