Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday nominated Sacramento attorney Michael G. Lee to continue to serve as general counsel for the Agricultural Labor Relations Board.

Lee, 59, has served as general counsel for the board since 2006. His nomination to continue serving in that position requires Senate confirmation.

Previously, Lee served 18 years as a deputy attorney general for the Department of Justice. He also worked as staff counsel for the Water Resources Control Board from 1987 to 1988, for the Office of the Secretary of State in 1987, and for the Agricultural Labor Relations Board from 1979 to 1987.

A Democrat, Lee attended college and law school at UC Davis, and was admitted to the State Bar in 1979.

Compensation for the position is $143,544.
