Governor Reappoints Local Attorney to Medical Board

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday reappointed Rolling Hills Estates attorney Frank Zerunyan to the Medical Board of California.

Zerunyan, 50, has been a member of the board since 2006 and is currently vice president.

He has served as principal of P3 Solutions Group since April 2010, principal of California P3 Infrastructure Group since 2009 and chief executive officer and general counsel of Public-Private Community Development since 2005.

Zerunyan has also been an adjunct associate professor at USC’s School of Policy Planning and Development since 2008 and was previously a partner with the law firms of Sulmeyer Kupetz from 1995 to 2005 and Yacoubian & Zerunyan from 1989 to 1995.

Admitted to the State Bar in 1989, Zerunyan worked as senior vice president of law and finance for International Marketing Alliance during the previous four years.

He is a Republican, and has served as a council member for the city of Rolling Hills Estates since 2003. He was the city’s mayor from 2007 to 2008.

Zerunyan is a member of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Transit Authority, the Los Angeles County Business Technology Center, the Armenian National Committee of America and the Zerunyan Center for Business, Entrepreneurship and Community Development at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Library.

He attended college at California State University, Long Beach and law school at Western State University.

This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
