Former DLA Piper real estate attorney Pamela L. Westhoff has joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP’s Los Angeles office, the latter firm announced yesterday.

A transactional real estate attorney with an emphasis in acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, and technology issues affecting real estate, Westhoff joins the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental practice group as a partner.

Sheppard, Mullin chair Guy Halgren said that Westhoff’s addition was “a great step toward achieving our strategic goal of continuing to grow our Los Angeles office and the firm as a whole, by adding marquee partners and groups.”

Domenic Drago, chair of the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental practice group, praised Westhoff as “one of the leading real estate attorneys in Los Angeles,” and said her “significant transactional experience is an excellent addition to our top-notch Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental practice group, both complementing our existing capabilities and expanding our breadth.”

Westhoff said that she was impressed by Sheppard Mullin’s real estate group, and commented that the firm “offers an excellent platform to continue to grow my practice, coupled with a firmwide collegial culture.”

A graduate of Loyola Marymount University and USC Law School, Westhoff was admitted to the State Bar in 1986. She also holds an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business.

Established in 1927, Sheppard Mullin is a full service firm with more than 560 attorneys in 11 offices located throughout California and in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanghai.
