Los Angeles attorney Constance L. Rice of English Munger & Rice has been selected as an honoree for the El Nido Family Centers’ third annual Champions for Families Awards Dinner at the Skirball Cultural Center.

The organization, which offers educational and social services to at-risk youth and families throughout Los Angeles County, said it will recognize Rice for her work in helping break the cycle of gang violence.

“El Nido salutes her for conducting a landmark assessment of the City of Los Angeles’ anti-gang programs and creating the blueprint to keep kids out of gangs through a regional, multi-jurisdictional comprehensive strategy to right the balance between suppression and prevention,” the group said in a release.

Tickets for the Oct. 22 event are $125 per person. The evening will include a silent auction, dinner and an awards presentation, the group said.

Rice is a graduate of Harvard University and the New York University school of law. She was admitted to the State Bar in 1991.
