Morrison & Foerster LLP yesterday announced the election of 12 attorneys to partnership effective Jan. 1, including Scott C. Moore of the Los Angeles office.

Firm Chairman Keith Wetmore commented that the newly elected partners “are a reflection of our firm’s outstanding talent and of high client demand in several of our firm’s distinguished practice areas.”

Moore is a member of the firm’s litigation department and his practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with emphasis on high-technology patent litigation, the firm said.

He has experience in litigation involving network management software, spreadsheet-database integration software, voicemail systems, transdermal drug delivery systems, electronic program guides, laser printers, dual-lumen catheters, semiconductor fabrication machinery and genetic sequencing technology.

A 1996 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in aerospace engineering, Moore later attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as managing editor of The University of Chicago Legal Forum.

Moore was admitted to the California State Bar in 1999.

The other attorneys who were elected partner were San Francisco attorneys Timothy W. Blakely, Heather A. Moser, William V. O’Connor and William M. Sloan; Carley A. Roberts from the Sacramento office; Lila M. Bateman from the Colorado division; New York attorneys David J. Fioccola, Jana W. Mansour and Gregory Roberts; Rafael L. Petrone from Washington D.C.; and Masato Hayakawa of Tokyo.
