Lesbian and Gay Lawyers Assn. To Host Awards Dinner

The Lesbian and Gay Lawyers Association of Los Angeles is holding its 30th Anniversary dinner and award ceremony on Feb.28.

The event will take place at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, located at 1755 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood. Check-in for the event will begin at 6, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at 7:30.

Love Honor Cherish, a nonprofit organization dedicated to repealing Proposition 8, co-founded by Los Angeles attorneys John A. Henning and Thomas Watson, will receive the LGLA 2009 Community Service Award at the event, and LGLA Past Co-President and Treasurer Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, general counsel for the Screen Actors Guild, will be honored with the Co-Presidents Award.

Award-winning Broadway singer and performer Jason Graae will serve as Master of Ceremonies and Kate Kendell, executive director of National Center for Lesbian Rights, will give the keynote address.

Tickets are $110 for LGLA members and partners, $125 for non-members, and $65 for law students. The deadline to register is Feb. 22.
