Dykema Hires New Associate at L.A. Office

Attorney Andrea Figler Ventura has joined the Los Angeles office of Midwest-based Dykema as an associate, the firm announced yesterday.
A former law clerk for former U.S. District Court Judge George P. Schiavelli of the Central District of California and Senior U.S. District Court Judge Robert J. Timlin, Ventura’s practice focuses on litigation, including commercial, consumer finance, automotive, and products liability litigation, a firm spokesperson said.
She has also worked as a research specialist extern for the Los Angeles Regional Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission and as an extern for the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
Ventura is a former business journalist who covered entertainment and securities markets. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz, she attended Southwestern Law School and was admitted to the State Bar in 2007.
During law school, she served as a law clerk for the Beverly Hills securities law firm of Aidikoff, Uhl & Bakhtiari and as a research assistant for Southwestern Law School Professor J. Kelly Strader.
