Greenberg & Glusker Expands Environmental Practice

By a MetNews Staff Writer

Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger yesterday announced the addition of  Christopher G. Foster as of counsel.

The decision to join the firm, Foster said, “was an easy one,” based on Greenberg Glusker’s “demonstrated commitment to its environmental and climate change practices.”

His own practice involves representation of individuals and businesses in administrative proceedings and litigation involving environmental regulatory agencies, and his areas of expertise include air quality, water rights and water quality, hazardous substances, contaminated property, the California Environ- mental Quality Act and endangered species, the firm said.

Partner David E. Cranston, who chairs the firm’s Environmental Law and Climate Change and Sustainability practice groups, said he was “thrilled” by the arrival of Foster, a member of both practice groups, and praised his “25 years of experience handling some of California’s thorniest environmental disputes.”

Foster obtained an undergraduate and mater’s degree in Biology from Stanford University, and his law degree from U.C. Hastings before being admitted to the State Bar in 1986.

He is also president of the Young & Healthy Board of Directors, a health care program which provides free medical, dental, psychological and case-management services to low-income, uninsured children in the Pasadena area.
