Services Set for Retired Municipal Court Judge Robert O. Young

A memorial service has been scheduled for retired Citrus Municipal Court Judge Robert O. Young, who died Monday at the age of 80.
The service will be held Saturday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, located at 540 E. Vine Street in West Covina.
A church spokesperson said that the family has requested that donations be sent to the church in lieu of flowers.
Young, who served on the Citrus court from 1975 to 1995, then sat on that court and on the Los Angeles Superior Court by assignment until quite recently, was an elder of the church and had a serious interest in religious music. He also held a master’s degree in journalism from UCLA and taught the subject at three colleges.
