Services Scheduled for Attorney Robert J. Chavez

Memorial services have been scheduled for civil litigation attorney Robert John Chavez, son of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Victor E. Chavez, and brother to Court of Appeal Victoria M. Chavez.
A recitation of the rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow at St. Anastasia’s Church, located at 7390 West Manchester Avenue in Los Angeles. The funeral mass is planned for Wednesday morning at 10:00, also at St. Anastasia’s. The interment will follow immediately after the mass, at Holy Cross cemetery, located at 5835 West Slauson Avenue in Culver City.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to a memorial fund established for the education of Chavez’s three children, Christopher, Steven and Chloe. Contributions can be sent to the law firm of Gianelli & Morris, located at 626 Wilshire Boulevard Suite 800, Los Angeles 90017.
The former professional volleyball player and University of Southern California alumnus unexpectedly passed away last Thursday morning at the age of 45.
