The Orange County Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates honored Margaret “Peggy” Holm of Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols as its 2008 Orange County Lawyer of the Year, the organization said yesterday.

The award was presented to Holm at a ceremony Tuesday held at the Center Club in Costa Mesa.

Holm, an ABOTA member for 19 years and the third woman in the history of the organization to attain the rank of Diplomate— a membership status achieved only by trial lawyers who have tried a minimum of 100 civil-jury trials to a verdict—was recognized as the Orange County Lawyer of the Year in 2001 as well.

She has spent the past 26 of her 30 years in practice with Bonne Bridges, and runs the firm’s Santa Ana office.

Bonne Bridges was founded in 1961 has over 35 associates in offices in Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and Las Vegas. Its primary focus is on healthcare law.
