LACBA to Honor Local Radio Host Warren Olney IV

The Los Angeles County Bar Association will honor local radio host and producer Warren Olney IV as part of the 14th Annual Dispute Resolution Services Awards dinner May 1.

The event will be held at the Milennium Biltmore Hotel.

Olney is the grandson of Warren Olney II, who served on the California Supreme Court from 1919 to 1921. His father, Warren Olney III, served under President Dwight D. Eisenhower as an assistant attorney general.

Olney will receive the Louis M. Brown Conflict Prevention Award, recognizing contributions to providing an important forum for civil dialogue on controversial public issues.

Court of Appeal Justice Richard M. Mosk of this district’s Div. Five will be honored with the Emil Gumpert Judicial Services ADR Award. State Bar President Sheldon H. Sloan has been selected to receive the Griffin Bell Volunteer Service Award.

Retired Orange Superior Court Judge H. Warren Knight will also be honored with the DRS Corporate ADR Award, recognizing his work as the founder of Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services.

Loyola Law School Professor Lauire L. Levenson will emcee the event.
