Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton Add Stigi

John P. Stigi III has joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as a partner based in Los Angeles, the firm said in a release, moving from the Silicon Valley firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Stigi’s background is in securities class action, shareholder derivative action defense, SEC investigation defense, internal corporate investigations, M&A and corporate governance litigation.
“We are delighted to have John join us,’’ Sheppard Mullin managing partner Guy Halgren said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of securities litigation experience, which benefits the firm and our clients. John is a terrific fit with the firm’s securities litigation and public company practices.”
Prior to his time with Wilson Sonsini, Stigi spent 12 years in practice in New York, where he remains a member of the bar.
Stigi graduated with honors from Columbia University in 1984 and received his law degree from the University of Viriginia in 1987.
