LACBA Promotes Professional Diversity Program

The Los Angeles County Bar Association along with its Committee on Diversity in the Profession, is continuing its ongoing effort to continue to promote its 2005 Statement on Diversity Goals and Principle, the association said yesterday in a release.
As part of its program, LACBA is encouraging law firms to adopt the Statement of Diversity Goals and Principles.
“Our goal is to have the 2005 Statement of Diversity Goals and Principles operate as a catalyst for refocusing energies and efforts to promote diversity in the hiring, retention and advancement of attorneys within their firms and in the achievement of leadership positions in the legal profession,’’ LACBA President Edith R. Matthai said in a release.
