Gatti New Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Entertainment Practice

Litigator John M.Gatti has joined the Los Angeles office of Greenberg Traurig LLP as a shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s entertainment and media litigation group.

“John joins a thriving practice of top-flight attorneys,” Jeff E. Scott, chair of the firm’s litigation practice, said in a statement. “His strategic thinking and broad-based success in the court room will further increase our ability to provide the highest quality representation to clients.”

Gatti, formerly a partner at Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahn, represents high profile entertainers, athletes, studios, and other businesses involved in the entertainment industry. Gatti also handles complex business matters.

Past clients include Barbra Streisand, Pete Sampras, Pamela Anderson, and current World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster. Gatti was a name partner in White O’Connor Curry Gatti & Avanzado LLP before he joined Alschuler Grossman.

Gatti serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southern California, and the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Bureau. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Southern California Law Center and he earned his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from USC.
