Family law practitioner Julian P. Waldon has joined the West Los Angeles divorce boutique of Nachshin & Weston.

The Welsh-born lawyer, 39, was admitted to the State Bar of California in April after a seven-year partnership tenure at the British law firm of R. Nichols Marcy. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1988.

“I’m extremely pleased to become an integral part of such a highly reputed law firm,” Waldon said of his move to Nachshin & Weston. “I share the firm’s commitment to finding ethical solutions to all disputes.”

The firm is best known for representing baseball superstar Barry Bonds in his prenuptial case. In that case, the state Supreme Court in 2000 upheld a premarital contract over the objection of Bonds’ former wife, who claimed that the agreement was void since she lacked the advice of independent counsel when she signed it.

Managing partner Robert J. Nachshin hailed the addition of Waldon to his six-lawyer firm.

“We’re very pleased to have an attorney with such impressive credentials join our dynamic team,” Nachshin said in a statement. “His background as an accredited Specialist Advocate in England, as well as his other credentials, is an impressive compilation of experience that serves to round out our firm’s areas of expertise.”

Walson is a member of the Welsh Choir of Southern California.
