Services Set for Monday for Arne Lindgren; Chaired LACBA Probate Section

A memorial service will be held Monday for Arne Sigfrid Lindgren, a former chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Trust and Probate Section and for 25 years a partner at Latham & Watkins.
Lindgren died Saturday in Carlsbad at the age of 71, a statement released by family members said.
While a law student at USC, he was recruited by Latham & Watkins and became an associate at the Los Angeles office in 1961. He became a partner in 1967, specializing in tax and probate law, and retired in 1992.
In addition to his work with LACBA, Lindgren served from 1978 to 1980 as a member of the executive committee of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of State Bar of California and lectured on probate, trusts and conservatorship for Continuing Education of the Bar.
Lindgren was born in Huntington Park and attended high school there. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting at USC.
Before attending law school, he spent a year at Cambridge University in England on a Rotary International scholarship and also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He and his wife, Nancy Clark Lindgren, lived in Studio City before moving to Carlsbad. Nancy Clark Lindgren was the widow of Arne Lindgren’s brother, Eric Lindgren, who died in 1982.
Arne Lindgren and Nancy Lindgren were married in 1986. They became avid travelers after his retirement, the statement released by the family said.
The memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills on Monday at 10:30 a.m. No cause of death was identified.
Lindgren is survived by his wife, four daughters, two sons, and 13 grandchildren.
The family asked that donations in Lindgren’s memory be made to the John Tracy Clinic, of which he served as president, or to the Trojan Sig Foundation. Lindgren was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity at USC.
