Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton Snaps Up Corporate Lawyer

Los Angeles-based Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton said Monday that it will add Brette S. Simon to its Los Angeles office.
Simon, who has practiced with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and O’Melveny & Myers, has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and venture capital transactions. At Sheppard Mullin, Simon joins as Special Council and plans to “develop my middle market corporate practice.” She joins over 60 other corporate lawyers and will be a part of several teams in the firm’s corporate practice group.
The 75-year-old Sheppard Mullin has approximately 150 lawyers in its Los Angeles office and is the seventh largest law firm in Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Book of Lists. O’Melveny is ranked first and Gibson Dunn is ranked third by the journal.
Simon received her law degree from UCLA in 1994.
