Quisenberry Names New Head of Insurance Bad Faith Group

The insurance bad faith litigation practice group at The Quisenberry Law Firm hired a new head on Monday, the firm announced yesterday.
Anthony Witteman has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a senior associate and head of the firm’s largest practice group. The firm was formerly Quisenberry & Kabateck.
As the head of the insurance bad faith litigation practice group, Witteman will be supervising eight of the total 13 attorneys who work at the Los Angeles-based firm.
He accepted what he referred to as a “unique opportunity” presented by Quisenberry after the firm approached him earlier this year.
“I always wanted to work on the plaintiff’s side of bad faith litigation,” Witteman said. He has litigation experience in many areas of law, including insurance coverage, real estate and personal injury.
Firm founder John N. Quisenberry said he was confident that the leadership of the seasoned trial attorney would help the newly restructured firm to grow.
“His experience allows him to build and strengthen the business in order to reinforce our solid reputation as leaders in insurance bad faith,” Quisenberry said.
Witteman added that he was pleased with the opportunity to play an important role in the strategic expansion of the practice and the firm as a whole.
“The team John N. Quisenberry had on board was the kind of group that I hoped to be associated with and build a future with,” Witteman said.
Before moving to Quisenberry, Witteman had represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation as of counsel to the downtown Kaplan Law Corporation since 1997.
He was admitted to the California bar on New Year’s Eve 1987 after graduating from Loyola Law School.
