By a MetNews Staff Writer

Los Angeles County Judicial Procedures Commission Chair Neal Millard and Vice-Chair Carol Rose will retain their titles for another year after being re-elected to their posts on the panel earlier this month.

The two were elected unanimously when a commissioner recommended that the sitting chair and vice-chair serve for another year.

The commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on how to streamline the judicial process to provide swifter, more efficient and more economical justice.

It is composed of citizens appointed by the county Board of Supervisors and ex-officio members who represent the Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney’s Office, Public Defender and the presiding judge of Los Angeles Superior Court.

Millard, a partner with White & Case, has been a member of the commission since 1999 when he was appointed by Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke.

He practices in the area of international finance and is an adjunct professor of law at the USC Law Center.

Rose, a deputy district attorney, works in the Child Abduction Section of the District Attorney’s Office.

She has served on the commission since 1998 when she was appointed by Supervisor Don Knabe.

Rose and Millard will serve for one year
